Canadians are getting shafted. There's a report going 'round how we Canucks are getting less vacay time than our European brothers and sisters.
Whilst our Mother Colony, her freaky French/Spanish cousins and lest we forget the Deutschlanders and Italianos all get to bask in the warm Caribbean sun for at least 3-4 weeks, we pride ourselves on taking an average of only 19 days (down from 21 last year) off for our annual family trips to Disneyland - in the car no less!! WOOHOO!!!
So...I propose a national referrendum on vacations. We must adopt an annual minimum paid vacation break of at least one month - August, perhaps. August is nice - don't you think?
Did you know that in France, people save for the vacations, and should they run out of money to buy the essentials - say, Milk or Eggs or Bread etc...they'd sooner eat roaches or worms than touch the vacation money - granted they're French but still...that's commitment!
Well, I'm glad I got that off my chest - and so now, if you all don't mind, I'm going to go on vacation - one week (as per the Cdn. standard) in the sun and it'll be fun!

- I'd like to think that this re-re-vamped blog will take on a whole new dimension of thought and afterthought, given my recent travels of the globe and the forced learning that often came up on the spot for me...I'd like to think that this might continue to bring insight and reverance to a community that may at times fall short of those two commodities...I'd like to think that the Maple Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup within the next 3-7 years...I'd like a lot of things, but you can't always get what you like (yeah, I changed that up so Mick n' Kief won't sue my sorry ass)...I'd like to think you'll read what I write, and that I'll write things down with more frequency than Brendan Fraser makes his Mummy films (this reference will probably get old in like 3 months)!!

Kramer goes to a fantasy camp. His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should throw down two thousand bucks to live like him for a week. Do nothing, fall ass-backwards in the money, mooch off your neighbors and have sex without dating, THAT'S a fantasy camp
