Movies n' Football

I'm thinking more and more lately, that I want to make a movie. Some of my friends and I have always said that we should just document our lives, 'cause silly things are bound to happen and we should get them caught on tape. Sounds logical, I know. So...I think that's what I'm going to do. I've got the equipment - at least the main one being the camera - I know how to work it, so there's the cinematography, direction and ultimately production. Script, you ask? Hmmm, ok well I've got a few things tinkering around, and I know that there's a lot of material out there, not to mention the whole 'unscripted' aspect of documentary filmmaking (lookout TIFF!!).

OK, so...let's make a movie, huh kids? I'm taking suggestion/artistic input, so feel free to drop a comment or two as for theme suggestions etc.

Moving onwards, I think I'm becoming more fascinated with football, American football. I don't quite know all the 'ins and outs' of the game, nor can I really name you any major superstars in the game (but don't get me wrong, I know my T.O.'s, Brady's, Favre's etc), nor do I recall who won SuperBowl XIXVCMGUCCM etc. but I think I'm liking the game more and more. So much so, in fact that I'm thinking of getting a "team". That is to say that I'm going to jump on a bandwagon and ride it into the 4th and Goal!! (eh, not bad, eh?!)

So far, I'm favouring the NY Jets (you can thank the Joe Namath and the recent Mark Wahlberg "Invinceable" movie), that and b/c realistically I could drive down and catch a game - on that note, I'd say the Buffalo Bills but then again, its Buffalo. Coming from Toronto, I don't think I can pledge myself to any team from Buffalo - despite my empathy for Buffalo's losing ways/choking style, when it comes to the playoffs...so, I think it'll be the Jets.

Just realized, I'm going to have to really learn the rules of the game, and I'm going to have to commit myself to the schedule more often. I mean I can handle HNIC on Saturday Nights, that's just life, but Sundays and/or Mondays...tough call. Then there's the whole NFL cable package...oh well I'm not 100% committed to the idea yet.

Back to the filmmaking concept - I will be holding auditions in the weeks to come (once I figure out for sure that I'm doing this) - I'll need male and female leads/support, so all are welcome.
