Canadians don't, rather can't revolt. Its not in our blood. We're incapable of action. Governing body's got you pissed off? Write a letter. Winter is too cold - complain, but you end up buying an extra sweater or t-shirts - while doing that, you maybe go into The Bay or Roots - see the outrageous pricing - rather than complain, you just mumble and grumble...and buy the damn thing anyways.
Canadians don't revolt. Think about it, when's the last time you got into an amazing little scuffle with the police or riot squad? And when we do see some Canucks protesting this or that...let's face it they're stand-ins...hooligans...annoying bastards that snuck into the country from somewhere else...are we going to go down there with 'em, stand shoulder to shoulder? Hell No! Why? Why don't we get down and dirty?
Because we're not Americans - that what you thinking right? For example - I get mailings from my place of work - I mean for g-d's sake, I WORK THERE... I'm around, I hear the gossip, I hear the news...yet I get mailings...I've even unsubscribed...no help. What am I going to do about it you ask - why nothing of course...except maybe blog about it.
More on this subject as I feel like it...I'm a bit tired now.
Done.
EM.

Hey! I was thinking about the same subject, too. We ought to get more vocal about our convictions. Man, I went to vote against the ban of same-sex marriage in Texas, but when I saw the huge turnout, I knew I was too late ... and probably the lone liberal in the Lone Star State.
